The International Monetary Fund recently laid out their intent to build on Google’s work assisting the Chinese Communist Party in the development of China’s Social Credit system, that governs who can travel, who can buy property or get a car loan. In China, this is one aspect of their massive surveillance state. It’s tempting to say ‘that’s China. It couldn’t happen here’, But you’d be wrong. It is coming here.
